Committees

Administrative Committee

 

The Administrative Committee consists of five members elected by the Syndicate Council during the first session held after electing its office members.

This committee is chaired by one of the Council members and is entrusted with the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Preparing the semi-annual report in cooperation with the president and the secretary, summarizing the main activities, operations, and achievements of the syndicate, and presenting it to the Council.
  • Reviewing membership applications and forwarding them to the Council.
  • Developing a plan for early detection and intervention in the field of psychomotor therapy in Lebanon in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health.
  • Assisting the secretary with the following tasks: o Maintaining a special register of member names, addresses, and workplaces. A file is organized for each member and archived at the syndicate. o Representing the syndicate at professional events upon assignment by the Council.
  • Conducting a comprehensive and ongoing survey of psychomotor therapists across Lebanon.
 
 

Scientific and Educational Committee

 

The Scientific Committee consists of five members elected by the Syndicate Council during the first session held after electing its office members. This committee is chaired by one of the Council members and is entrusted with the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Representing the syndicate at universities, institutes, and educational institutions upon assignment by the Council.
  • Submitting proposals to the Council aimed at organizing seminars and continuous education retreats for syndicate members, and working to obtain scientific studies and research in the field of nursing to be distributed or published in the syndicate’s journal.
  • Following up on research and studies conducted by syndicate members and proposing Council support when necessary.
  • Proposing scientific evaluation studies and forms related to member needs.
  • Managing the library, archives, and documentation at the syndicate.
  • Supervising the scientific and educational section of the syndicate’s journal.
  • Representing the syndicate in the colloquium exam committee upon a proposal from the Council and assignment by the Minister of Education and Higher Education.
  • Reviewing the academic standards and curricula of licensed universities in Lebanon and making suggestions to improve them in accordance with accepted scientific standards.
  • Participating with the president in decision-making meetings regarding the syndicate’s scientific and educational matters.
  • Preparing the committee’s annual budget and submitting it to the Council for approval, which may either approve or modify it.
  • Approving continuing education programs.

Social, Public, International Relations & Media Committee

 

The Social and Media Committee consists of five members elected by the Syndicate Council during the first session held after electing its office members. This committee is chaired by one of the Council members and is entrusted with the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Fostering social relations among members.
  • Organizing visitation programs conducted by the syndicate.
  • Following up on files and correspondence with internal and external bodies and twinning projects, and informing the Council of progress and outcomes for appropriate decisions.
  • Welcoming foreign delegations and organizing their stay and visit programs.
  • Maintaining social relations with peers and representing the syndicate in social events upon assignment by the Council.
  • Handling media relations, preparing newsletters, statements, and announcements.
  • Studying all activities of a social and media nature, preparing detailed reports, and submitting them to the Council.

Finance Committee

 

The Administrative Committee consists of five members elected by the Syndicate Council at its first session following the election of its Bureau.

This committee is chaired by a member of the Syndicate Council and is entrusted with the following duties and powers:

  • Preparing the annual budget and submitting it to the Syndicate Council.
  • Appointing an auditor.
  • Overseeing expenditures and revenues.
  • In the event that a pension fund is established, the Finance Committee supervises the Pension Fund Management Committee.
